Hello, and welcome to my website
I am an experienced, UKCP-registered body psychotherapist in Folkestone and Canterbury. I work with you in a humanistic way, combining a number of different therapeutic approaches – body and breath work, EMDR, Gestalt therapy, and more – to restore a sense of balance and calm between your mind and body and support you to feel connected with yourself once again.
I understand that seeking out psychotherapy or counselling can be a daunting experience, especially if you haven’t done it before. It’s natural to be nervous! Having worked with a broad and diverse range of people in the past, from young adults to groups to members of the LGBTQIA+ community, I take care to create a supportive therapeutic space that is right for you. It’s always your decision what we focus on and how we work together.
If you are struggling with day-to-day living or require help with a particular crisis and need the support of a psychotherapist in Kent, feel free to get in touch with me to ask any further questions.
My Approach
As a body psychotherapist, my main area of focus is increasing your awareness of the ‘mind-body’ connection – something we can lose sight of in the stress of daily living. It can be so easy to separate parts of ourselves off, which is why our time together will be about restoring a healthy connection within yourself.
No one person is the same, and I always adapt my counselling approach to focus on what works in your life and what resources would be helpful for you. This could involve biodynamic approaches, dialogue-based techniques (Gestalt/Internal Family Systems), EMDR, working with imagination and dreams, CBT techniques, short-term counselling, or some other modality that you feel comfortable with.
If you want to know more about the way I work, take a look at my How I Work page.

Initial Consultation
You can get in touch in a number of ways. Give me a call, text, or send me an email to arrange a time for a quick chat over the phone. You don’t have to go into detail about your situation if you don’t want to. We can then have a short, free, no-obligation consultation, during which you can ask any questions you might have to help you decide whether you want to meet me.
Depending on your needs, we can start short-term counselling to help you tackle a specific issue. I also offer longer-term psychotherapy where there is the opportunity to explore and work at depth to further your understanding of yourself.
I also offer large and small group workshops on Managing Perfectionism and Performance Anxiety.
